Impacciatore, wearing a red gown, disembarked from a water taxi at the Excelsior Hotel pier on the Venice Lido on Saturday welcomed by Barbera, as cameras rolled for a key scene in the show. Actors playing photographers for the scene and also real paparazzi snapped away upon her arrival.
“’Call My Agent – Italia’ is a true love letter to cinema, its rituals and its protagonists,” Nils Hartmann, EVP ofStudios for Italy and Germany, said in a statement. “It is therefore a truly great emotion, and at the same time a great motive of pride for us, to be able to shoot the second season of such a hugely successful series at the Venice Film Festival, which is the temple of Italian cinema.
The first season of “Call My Agent – Italia,” which has been hailed by Sky as a big success, featured Paolo Sorrentino among local talents playing themselves. Besides Impacciatore, the second season of “Call My Agent – Italia” will feature director Gabriele Muccino and actors Valeria Golino, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Gian Marco Tognazzi, Claudio Santamaria, Serena Rossi and Davide Devenuto as well as singer and actor Elodie.
The second installment of the series is set to air on Sky Italia next year. It was produced by Sky Studios and Italy’s Palomar, directed by Luca Ribuoli and written by Lisa Nur Sultan with Federico Baccomo and Dario D’Amato.
