Who even voted for him?!
In the second episode of the season, Hopper is called to help get rid of protesters who are against the Starcourt Mall that just opened up in Hawkins. After getting attacked trying to figure out what is happening in Hawkins, Hopper storms into Kline's office hoping to get some answers. Kline reveals that the mall was bought by someone who is also buying land near the old lab.
Kline continues with his plan to put on a Fourth of July fair for Hawkins and ends up running into a Russian agent who wants him to find Hopper before he tries to stop them. The day of the fair, Kline gives a big speech before spotting Joyce and Hopper running around trying to find the Russians. He alerts the agent who is looking for them so he can go after them. Before they escape, Joyce ends up punching Kline in the face for revealing their location.
Because of his heavy involvement with the Russians, there's a good chance that Kline will be in jail for quite a while. However, anything is possible in Hawkins and with the amount of power that Kline has in town, it also wouldn't be too surprising to see him walking free in the following season and aligning with the Russians again.fans will certainly recognize Cary Elwes for his lead role as Westley.
