Due to arrive in the fall:Losing an All-American like McCreary is tough, obviously, but Auburn can take solace in the fact it returns multiple corners who started multiple games in the secondary last season.
Opposite him could be redshirt junior Jaylin Simpson, who appeared in 11 games and made four starts last season. Simpson also finished with 27 tackles last season, intercepted one pass and had three pass-breakups. He could be competing for the starting job along with fellow junior Ro Torrence, who worked behind McCreary last season after joining Auburn as a JUCO transfer. Torrence appeared in 10 games and had six tackles and a pass breakup, but he mostly worked on special teams.
