William Friedkin, the man behind one of the scariest films of all time, has passed away at the age of 87. He is perhaps best known for directing The Exorcist, but was also the man behind the Oscar-winning film The French Connection, and was set to have what is now his final film, The Caine Mutiny Court Marshal, premiere at this year's Venice Film Festival.
