Thunderstorms will develop ahead of a cold front making its way through southeast Texas late Monday night into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.According to the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow LabSixteen states are under winter and/or wind alerts, with a winter storm expected to bring near-blizzard conditions to the upper Midwest on Monday and Tuesday.
Snow arrives in Denver, Colorado, around midnight, with 3 to 4 inches expected and up to a foot of snow in Vail and possibly over 2 feet of snow in southwestern Colorado. Over a foot of snow and winds over 40 mph is possible in Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota on Monday and Tuesday, potentially causing driving conditions and power outages.
