Winter Storm Piper is pushing eastward, and it's expected to deliver some real, actual snow to New York City:

This system, named Winter Storm Piper by The Weather Channel, pummeled California with snow in some unusual locations, heavy rain and blizzard conditions in some mountain locations.Snow, sleet and freezing rain are spreading across the Great Lakes. Winds will increase into Monday evening.This powerful low will track near the Great Lakes. Snow will fall in the northern Great Lakes with a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow farther south, as shown on the map below.
Some ice accumulations are expected along the southern edge of the snowfall contours shown below. For now, those accumulations are expected to generally be light, although it will likely lead to slippery travel. In addition, any ice on trees or power lines coupled with strong winds could lead to some downed limbs and power outages Monday.
