Geauga, Ashtabula, Trumbull, and Mahoning counties could get 3 to 5 inches of snow by Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Geauga, Ashtabula, Mahoning and Trumbull counties, saying that 3 to 5 inches of snow could be on the ground by Saturday morning. The advisory takes effect at 7 p.m. today and continues until noon Saturday.in the Cleveland area.
Rain is expected today as temperatures will reach the low 40s, but will fall during the afternoon and early evening, eventually reaching the low 20s by Saturday morning. That means the rain will change to snow by the mid-afternoon and continue through the night. The Weather Service warns the wet roads combined with falling temps and snow could create slick conditions on area roads.
The snow likely won’t hang around long. Temperatures on Monday will reach the mid-50s with partly sunny skies. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
