Woman, 67, fatally beaten, second victim, 96, struck in face in domestic in South Shore neighborhood

A 67-year-old woman was found unresponsive with blunt-force trauma, and a 96-year-old woman was struck in the face Friday morning inside a residence in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 8:30 a.m., a woman was found at a residence in the 7300 block of South Luella Avenue. There were signs she suffered blunt-force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.Another woman, 96, who had facial injuries was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Police said the incident appeared to be domestic-related.
