The 25-year-old woman was reportedly 'highly intoxicated' when her fiancé was fatally stabbed, with the couple's young kids in the apartment.
Liliana Cervantes is charged with murder for the stabbing death of her boyfriend Nathan Freeman at the apartment on El Camino Real in March 2023.
According to Freeman's mom, Tessa, her son and Cervantes had been together for about two years. Their daughter is 6 months old. All seemed to be going well, Freeman said. Cervantes had picked out her wedding dress and that a ceremony was planned for the fall. "The officer stated that she woke up with water being splashed on her and the baby, and she blacked out again," read the hearing officer. "The next thing she remembers trying to stitch the complainant up and calling 911."
