BySaturdayOfficers responded to a shooting call at about 3:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Elderoaks Lane, near West Camp Wisdom and South Hampton roads, police records show.

The officers found the woman shot, police said, and she was taken to a hospital where she died. Authorities did not release the woman’s identity.
