A woman was injured early Wednesday after trying to flee a possible road rage incident in southwest Houston, officials said.
A Dodge Charger crashed into a white sedan just after midnight near the intersection of S. Gessner Road and W. Bellfort Boulevard while trying to escape from another vehicle, Sgt. Jason Hill, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters.Officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of possible road rage and shots fired.
Witnesses told police the driver of the Charger fled through an intersection after a third vehicle, described as a gray or silver sedan, opened fire on it, Hill said. It wasn’t yet clear if any of the bullets struck anyone in the Charger, Hill said. But a woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
