The driver, a 42-year-old woman from Jefferson, was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
Bergenfield Police Capt. William Duran said.
Officers discovered that a CSX train was completely stopped on the tracks with parts of a vehicle scattered around the area, officials said. They then found an upside down SUV with heavy damage and the driver inside, authorities said.
