on the other side of Interstate 35 East, in a field near the intersection of East Jefferson Boulevard and Brazos Street not far from where the body ofPolice identified Sanchez-Garcia as a suspect using surveillance video and tire tracks. Phone records revealed he was in the same area as all three of the victims when they died, police said in affidavits.
“She wanted to go see the world,” Hernandez said. “Different places and different states, and that’s what they were doing.” When she heard police arrested a suspect in her daughter’s slaying, Hernandez said she couldn’t stop shaking. “I had to call my husband to come home because I couldn’t stop shaking,” she said. “I promised my daughter we were going to get him and we got him.”Choking back tears, Hernandez said, “I love her, and I miss her.”
