Wrestling: New Braunfels’ Landon Marsh wins fourth regional title
New Braunfels senior Landon Marsh, center, captured his fourth regional wrestling championship on Saturday at Littleton Gym. Marsh won the Region IV-6A title in the 190-pound division.New Braunfels senior Landon Marsh rolled to the Region IV-6A championship in the 190-pound division by pinning Ben Lourens of Dripping Springs in 4 minutes, 45 seconds on Saturday at Littleton Gym.In four regional matches, Marsh also recorded two technical falls and a quick pin at 1:48.
Three other area boys claimed Region IV-6A championships, including Clemens twin brothers Seth Gutierrez and Tyler Gutierrez . Roosevelt’s Roman Salazar defeated Reagan’s Sawyer Peevy in the 215-pound final. Junior Efren Arizmendez led the way by rolling at 165 pounds. His performance was highlighted by a quick pin against Wyatt Mican of Victoria West for the regional crown.
