Investigators are trying to determine whether Haitian police officers took part inof President Jovenel Moïse, Colombia’s defense minister, Diego Molano, said Friday.
“That is part of the investigation, regarding those who were in that final act,” Mr. Molano said in an interview.carried out the killing on July 7, prompting Colombian President Ivan Duque’s administration to send a three-man commission to Haiti and provide Haitian investigators with evidence gathered in Colombia.
Mr. Molano said that the Colombian government believes former Colombian troops participated in the attack on the president’s home and, in the case of two of them, took part in planning his death. But he said they may not have been the only ones.
