NBCUniversal is postponing its return to the office until October and will require returning employees to be fully vaccinated and provide details of their vaccination status
Comcast Corp.’s NBCUniversal is postponing its return-to-office date, citing a rise in breakthrough cases of Covid-19, the company said in an internal email Wednesday.
Comcast Corp. Chief Administration Officer Adam Miller said the company, which had been planning for a large-scale return to the office after Labor Day, is moving that date to Oct. 18 at the earliest. Until then, Mr. Miller wrote, employees who are fully vaccinated can return to the office on a voluntary basis.
“Recent developments, including the rise in regional positivity rates due to variants and breakthrough cases, and guidance from medical experts and authorities have led us to the conclusion that we need to alter our approach,” Mr. Miller wrote. NBCUniversal will require its U.S. employees who are returning to the office to be fully vaccinated, Mr. Miller wrote, and will require those employees to provide details of their vaccination status.
