Yeezy staffers commuted nearly 900 miles by private jet from California to Wyoming after Kanye West demanded Adidas open a facility there, report says
Staffers were flown the nearly 900-mile journey from California to Wyoming on a Monday morning, and flown back Friday night, Rolling Stone reports.
While some staff commuted, others moved to Wyoming permanently. Around 90 Yeezy staffers in total worked in the state, Rolling Stone reported. Two Yeezy staffers told Rolling Stone that West initially planned to open a Yeezy HQ in Chicago in 2018, with workers expected to make the move immediately. The rapper-turned-fashion mogul then decided to stay put in Los Angeles, before Wyoming became the short-lived home for Yeezy.
Alongside members of the Yeezy apparel and footwear teams, music producers, architects and artists were among those who frequently took the California to Wyoming flight, Rolling Stone reported. One Yeezy employee told the publication how different life at the company was from a normal nine-to-five:"You have an hour to get ready for a flight to Wyoming, you have to be there within three hours, and you have to have a whole presentation for him when he flies over at 1 a.m. after his show.'"
