Hard Rock Super Bowl spot features DJ Khaled wearing Alex Rodriguez's face (seriously) while robbing Jennifer Lopez
The commercial dubbed “The Hype” features J. Lo getting ready at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. — some 20 miles north of Miami — when a disguised Khaled propels into her room to steal her classic blinged-out drinking cup. A chase commences, featuring Mr. Worlwide Pitbull using a pineapple as a football and knocking out Khaled into a pool. When Khaled is finally apprehended, J. Hard Rock tapped famed action movie director Michael Bay for the commercial. Unfortunately, there weren’t any explosions, although there was an appearance by Steven Van Z of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band fame.
