While Eufaula City Schools did not mention Zyrion by name, the district said in a Facebook post Wednesday that it lost a “precious middle school student” Tuesday night. “We are extremely saddened by the tragic loss in our community last night. A 911 call was made at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday after someone saw a school book bag floating in the water near the Barbour Creek Boat Ramp dock, Eufaula police said Tuesday night.The child’s body was discovered at approximately 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and he was pronounced dead by Chapman.
