The novelty of the data is irresistible: tiny wrist computers connecting to satellites 12,550 miles above, tracking our strides, their length, as well as our steps per minute, in time with our heartbeats. That feedback loop is so truly miraculous—and borderline addictive—it would be more impressive if we didn’t share it.My natural inclination was to catalog the photos of this data as bragging, or vanity. After all, I started posting them too.
