Ahead of a sweeping preemption bill taking effect in September, Austin City Council members have been meeting behind closed doors to discuss its implementation, telling CBS Austin they 'expect that there will be litigation filed against us.'

Michael AdkisonTwice this week, according to council agendas, the council went into executive session, out of the public eye, to meet with legal counsel to discuss HB 2127, known by supporters as the "Regulatory Consistency Act" and as the "Death Star bill" by critics.
