The suspect, described as a man in his 60s, has fired on Bexar County deputies at least three times since 7 p.m. Tuesday. According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, the suspect arranged propane tanks around his home and has shot at them in an attempt to create an explosion.A man believed to be in his 20s was left to die on the side of a road in east Bexar County after being tied up and stabbed multiple times in the head and upper body, according to the sheriff’s office.
“I can’t imagine what he went through,” Sheriff Javier Salazar said at a news conference Saturday afternoon. While traveling in the 11200 block of La Vernia Road around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, a motorist spotted the man on the shoulder and called 911 to report the discovery. The man’s injuries were so numerous and severe that responding deputies were not able to determine initially whether they were stab wounds or gunshot wounds, Salazar said.
The sheriff’s office is requesting the public’s help in identifying the man. The man is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 160 pounds, white or Hispanic with a close-cropped full dark beard and no known scars or tattoos. He told officers his name may be Jacob or Joshua, Salazar said.
