A body found in Houston has been identified as missing Austin woman Heidi Broussard. Officials say she was strangled in the trunk of a car.
The body of a woman found in a Houston-area home has been identified as missing Austin, Texas, mother Heidi Broussard, officials said Friday.
Broussard's primary cause of death was listed as ligature strangulation, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Her place of death was listed as the trunk of a vehicle and the manner of death was determined to be homicide, the report said. Investigators also found a baby girl believed to be Broussard's daughter Margot Carey, who was reported missing along with her mother on December 12, Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told reporters.
