More than five years after construction stopped, work could begin soon on Frisco's $2 billion Wade Park project.

Since then, the 175-acre site has been an eyesore with partially completed buildings and a huge excavation along the east side of the tollway.New York-based JVP Management plans to complete unfinished retail buildings along Lebanon Road, according to planning documents filed with the state.

The almost 80,000-square-foot construction project would start in May and wrap up in the summer of 2024, say details provided to the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation. The $17.7 million construction work was designed by architect CallisonRTKL.to rebrand the development as The Mix. The new game plan for the Wade Park property would include 3 million square feet of housing, about 2 million square feet of office space, 375,000 square feet of retail and two hotels.JVP Management is a private real estate with offices in New York and Connecticut that has property investments totaling more than $5 billion. JVP Management has partnered with Wade Park lender Gamma Real Estate on projects including a condominium tower in Manhattan.

Construction first started on Wade Park back in 2014, with ambitious intentions to build a series of high-rise offices, hotels and apartments along the tollway. After the development went bust, Frisco was left with a 6.8-acre hole in the ground and crumbling retail structures at the north end of the site.
