Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Although playing through the missions of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon makes for mostly straightforward progression, the game's multiple endings can be a bit puzzling for the uninitiated. Marking the series' long-awaited return, over ten years after its previous entry in 2012, Armored Core 6 is a large departure from recent FromSoftware's games - especially the massive hit, Elden Ring.
The path to "The Fires of Raven" consists of three missions. "Intercept the Corporate Forces" requires protecting the Xylem from Arquebus forces led by V.1 Freud. "Breach the Karman Line" necessitates taking down a fleet of Arquebus ships and dueling against V.IV Rusty. Finally, "Shut Down the Closure Satellites" pits the pilot against Ayre, now in control of a Coral-powered AC.
The missions that lead to the ending involve taking out Carla in an attempt to take control of the Xylem, only to fail due to her countermeasures. Next, Ayre instructs the pilot to destroy the Xylem's generators. This leads to a fight against V.II Snail, piloting a modified Balteus. Finally, there is a final fight against Walter, who reappears piloting a Coral-powered AC in a last-ditch effort to see his plans through.
