Whenever Bungie rolls out new balance changes in the Destiny universe, people always look for two things, news about Recluse nerfs (which a lot of people seem to want to avoid) and One-Eyed Mask nerfs (which a lot of people seem to want implemented).
universe, I have been avoiding an uncomfortable topic for a while now as I don’t particularly enjoy living up to my meme reputation and also getting yelled at. But I really can’t push this off any longer as it seems likeWhenever Bungie rolls out new balance changes in theuniverse, people always look for two things, news about Recluse nerfs and One-Eyed Mask nerfs . This week, we did see a pretty heavy nerf to bottom tree Strikerwhich will make it a bit less rampage-y than it’s been.
One-Eyed Mask is a dedicated PvP exotic pretty much like no dedicated PvP exotic before it. It not only marks targets that damage you so you can see exactly where they are behind walls, and can time your shots accordingly, but when you kill them, you immediately get a pretty beefy overshield and a damage boost.
The weird thing about One-Eyed Mask is always that it’s felt like two exotics mashed together. On its own, at least in PvP, either of these skills would still be pretty strong. I can envision a version of One-Eyed Mask where it simply picks one of these perks or the other and lives on that way. An exotic that lets you track enemies that damage you around corners and behind walls is still really valuable.
