A wildfire update from the New Jersey Forest Fire Service on a forest fire in Southampton Township on March 19.The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is “making substantial progress” as it works to contains a wildfire in Leisuretowne, Southampton Township, according to an official Facebook post.
The fire was reported at 3 p.m. and was 60% contained as of 6 p.m., with current containment area of the fire at around 50 acres and not expected to grow larger. Local Burlington County fire departments are providing structure protection, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
