It’s hard to blame the Razorbacks for seeking out more Dallas-area defensive talent.No Dallas-area player shot up recruiting rankings this season quite like North Crowley tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpton.

Pimpton, 6-6, 220, had committed to Vanderbilt in July and entered his senior season with offers from the likes or Arkansas State, Rice and North Texas. But after a stellar season for North Crowley — in which Pimpton established himself as one of the nation’s top tight ends and caught 49 passes for 951 yards and 16 touchdowns — he now has quite a list of schools to choose from.

Now a four-star recruit, per 247Sports.com’s composite rankings, Pimpton is still committed to Vanderbilt. His meteoric rise may ultimately change that. He played his junior season at Fort Worth Brewer, and was named District 3-5A Div. I’s first-team all-district tight end after he caught 17 passes for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns.
