Former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. has agreed to a plea deal on drug and weapons charges, all while still facing separate charges in Texas in connection with the death of his girlfriend, according to officials.
Former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. agreed to a plea deal Monday on drug and weapons charges, all while still facing separate charges in Texas in connection with the death of his girlfriend, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. Court records indicate jury selection for the drug and weapons trial was also set to start on Monday.
In Harris County, Ware is also facing charges, including murder, related to the 2021 death of his girlfriend, Taylor Pomaski. Pomaski’s family reported her missing on May 11, 2021 and said she was “possibly endangered,” according to a Harris County Sheriff’s Office news release. An investigation revealed that she was last seen that April following a party at her residence, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance “appeared suspicious.
