Generally speaking, a school district superintendent oversees the daily operations and overall performance of a school district. The role comes with a lot of different responsibilities including school policy development, overseeing district staff, budgeting, long-term planning, and community engagement.
Before resigning in 2015, Miles was paid $306,000 as superintendent of Dallas ISD for the 2014-2015, according to state salary data.
