Sen. JD Vance unveiled the English Language Unity Act in the Senate after a corresponding bill was introduced in the House last week
Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, sounds off on the lack of oversight of the roughly $130 billion sent to Ukraine on 'Tucker Carlson Tonight.'
"The English language has been a cornerstone of American culture for over 250 years," Vance said."It is far past time for Congress to codify its place into law, which is exactly what this bill does." Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, attends the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee hearing titled Strengthening Airline Operations and Consumer Protections in Russell Building on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
A Rasmussen poll from last year found that 78% of American adults believe English should be the official language of the country, according to a press release from Vance’s office.
