recently expressed interest in producing a “Full House” prequel that would take place before the events of the original series. One of the tabloids now claims the actor’s pitch is some how a “betrayal” againstcan debunk the premise, which is both illogical and untrue.Stamos told E! News last month that he can see the franchise continuing
. “I think there’s a play that we go backward, like what happened before?” said the actor. The original “Full House,” which debuted on ABC in 1987, focused on Danny Tanner , his brother-in-law Jesse and their friend Joey Gladstone as they raised Danny’s three daughters following the death of his wife Pam, who was Jesse’s sister. Stamos explained that a potential prequel would take place before Pam’s passing.
The article doesn’t make much sense from the very start, considering it doesn’t seem that Stamos or anyone else in the cast would appear on this new iteration either. And Loughlin’s part of Aunt Becky didn’t even come into play until the last few episodes of the show’s second season. If the prequel does get off the ground, it’s safe to say that younger actors will be portraying all of the characters, most of whom would be in their 20s at the time the show takes place.
The outlet is just trying to make a direct connection between Loughlin’s legal troubles and Stamos’ unrelated desire to do a “Full House” prequel. Ashas reported, the actress is facing possible prison time for her role in the college admissions cheating scandal. “John can see there’s a real chance that Lori won’t be able to come back, so he’s covering his [behind] by pitching a show that won’t need her to be a part of it,” a supposed source tells the tabloid.
The alleged insider further contends Loughlin is “dumbfounded” by Stamos’ idea as she “was convinced the cast would stick be her. She relied on each of them to have her back.” The questionable tipster goes on to say the actress is in shock over her former co-star brainstorming a new project without her, as “John was the one person she felt she could completely rely on, and he was the one who sold her down the river. It’s left her stunned and destroyed.
