President Biden said “common sense” gun control would not “negatively affect” the Second Amendment, and added that the amendment is “not absolute.”
Authorities continue investigating several lingering questions related to Tuesday’s massacre at Robb Elementary, including whether the gunman had any ties to the school, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said Wednesday.
The justice of the peace leading the inquest in the case, who is akin to a county coroner, said Wednesday that officials plan to conduct an autopsy of the gunman after finishing work on the victims. He saidOther questions remained a day after the shooting. Considine said Ramos had shot his grandmother before going to the school. The grandmother remained in critical condition late Wednesday morning, Considine said.
After shooting his grandmother, he then drove to the school and rammed through a nearby railing, prompting a 911 call from a resident who reported it and added that the driver apparently had a rifle, Considine said.
