Investigators learned at the scene that the shooting happened after a fight involving a 28-year-old man and two others – including the man who was seriously hurt in the shooting.
The shooting happened about 10 p.m. Saturday at KD Party Center, on State Road south of Snow Road, Parma police spokesman Lt. Daniel Ciryak said in a news release. Officers responded and found a 28-year-old pregnant woman with a gunshot graze wound to her stomach and a 32-year-old man suffering from a gunshot to the groin.
The shooting victims were hospitalized for their injuries, Ciryak said. As of Sunday morning, the pregnant woman was in stable condition, while the injured man was listed in critical condition. Investigators learned at the scene that the shooting happened after a fight involving a 28-year-old man and two others – including the man who was seriously hurt in the shooting, Ciryak said. Police arrested the 28-year-old man at the party center after he dropped a handgun while walking past an officer while trying to leave.
The man initially denied, but ultimately admitted, to firing the shots, Ciryak said. It’s unclear if any formal charges have been filed in connection with the fight or the shooting.
