The apartments would be a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, ranging in size from 550 square feet to 1,500 square feet.

Phase one is already under construction in the area where the Sears store used to be, facing Route 59. Next to that, a senior active housing complex will be built, also considered part of phase one.The newest proposal, the beginning of phase two, would be on the north side of the mall, near where the ReStore currently is located. The new project would eliminate that ReStore.
There would be a linear park with a gaming area, seating and a dog park on the west side of project, and a triangle park on the east side. Tracey Vacek, senior planner with the city, said that was one reason the development has no three-bedroom units, which she said “will go a long way to reduce the number of children.”
