''My weekend at sex camp'
Around us, a dozen more couples are slapping, stroking and scratching one another, punctuating the air with gasps and groans of pleasure., albeit ‘kinky’ yoga, and I’m dressed in standard-issue exercise gear, namely cropped leggings and a T-shirt. Many of my classmates, however, have taken up our instructor’s invitation to disrobe and are semi-clad and mainly topless, men and women alike.
I’m at Sex Camp, a weekend festival of workshops and classes held, somewhat improbably, on a Girl Guide campground in the Australian countryside, 90 minutes outside Melbourne. ‘Celebrating Sexuality is our media-friendly title,’ laughs Vanessa Florence, who founded the festival three years ago. ‘But Sex Camp is what it really is.
