Queen Consort Camilla paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth at the Cheltenham Festival.
The royal attended the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday, one of the most high-profile horse racing events of the spring. For the occasion, Camilla bundled upon against the chilly weather in a fur-trimmed tan suede hat and matching overcoat which she accessorized with a silver brooch featuring a galloping white horse and jockey. The accessory formerly belonged to the late monarch as she was a passionate horse owner, racer, and breeder throughout her life.
The reason for Queen Consort Camilla's visit to the races was specifically to attend the Queen Mother Champion Steeplechase, named for Queen Elizabeth's mother. Prior to the race, she also visited the paddock to check on the day's equine competitors before presenting the winner with a trophy at the end of the race.
While Camilla has been attending the Cheltenham races for years, Queen Elizabeth was more interested in flat racing and was regularly a special guest at the Royal Ascot held in June. And the queen consort isn't the only member of the royal family who's a fan of the annual racing event. On Tuesday,
