The Mountaineers battled from behind to claim a 34-31 overtime thriller. 11/04/2022A fourth-quarter comeback and a game-ending interception return for a touchdown were all part of the magic for Ridgewood in Montclair during its 30-24 overtime victory over the Mounties.
Senior running back Bobby Kuenzler then helped Ridgewood tie the game with 5:13 left in regulation on a three-yard touchdown run.Both teams failed to score during the rest of regulation to send the game into overtime. In overtime, Zach Kranz came up with a huge defensive play for the Maroons, intercepting a pass in the end zone and then returning all the way back for a touchdown to send Ridgewood home with its fourth victory of the season.
Ridgewood will host Ramapo to close out the regular season on Friday. Montclair finishes the regular season on the road against Columbia on Saturday.
