Søren Le Schmidt - CPHFW SS22 Søren Le Schmidt did what he does best, deconstructing conventional tailoring structures and reshaping them into various innovative and mind-blowing styles. Get ready for party season:

Located at an old building in central Copenhagen, Søren Le Schmidt’s SS22 show started with nothing less but a blast!

Bright lights suddenly lit up the dark room; a spotlight pointed at the wall where a painter stepped out and began painting. Meanwhile another green spotlight shifted our focus towards Danish musician Mads Langer, who provided the soundtrack for the show - we were instantly impressed by this intersection of the arts, working magically together as an introduction to the collection.

Then came the models – walking confidently to the beautiful tunes of Mads Langer. The first few styles were sharply tailored; all black, all white or mixed in a brilliant patchwork. As the show progressed, garments in bright emerald green appeared, followed by voluminous dresses and edgy suits in tin-man metallic ! Our fashion hearts took an extra beat - It was crazy, yet elegant at the same time.

Søren Le Schmidt did what he does best, which is to play with the conventional structures of a masculine suit, deconstructing it and reshaping it into various innovative styles. There were many different versions of the classic blazer; one with the shoulders bare, the other with a cutout in the front, and another where it was made into a unisex mini dress, to name but a few examples.
