Hannity's comments sparked an avalanche of comments on the social media platform with some praising the Fox News host, while others said it had come too late.
Progressive broadcaster Keith Boykin was less positive and tweeted:"So, Sean Hannity and Fox News waited 16 months while 600,000 Americans were killed and 35 million infected before they finally decided to encourage their viewers to 'take COVID seriously' and 'believe in science.'"
