NEW: The Supreme Court shields Twitter and other social media giants from liability for aiding Islamic terror attacks by not removing or blocking content.

In a related case, the Supreme Court declined to weigh in on a landmark federal law that grants sweeping legal immunity to internet companies. Beatriz Gonzalez and Jose Hernandez, the mother and stepfather of Nohemi Gonzalez who was fatally shot in the 2015 Paris attacks, stand outside the U.S. Supreme Court after justices heard arguments in Gonzalez v.
