Guests arrived for an engagement party but ended up witnessing a wedding.

Simultaneously, the couple started planning their wedding. “We considered doing it in Colorado the following summer,” says Olga. “Three weeks before our engagement party was set to take place, Jordy and I were having dinner with our friend Josh. The topic of wedding planning came up, and Josh threw out the idea of our having a surprise wedding at our engagement party.
“We wanted the party to feel super light, airy, and elevated with lots of white and flowers,” says Olga. “Pauline has exquisite taste, so we knew that our engagement party turned wedding would be beautiful.” The couple worked with wedding planner Shiran Nicholson ofSince this was a surprise wedding, both Olga and Jordy needed two looks: one for the “engagement party” everyone thought they were attending and one for the actual wedding.
At the same time, the couple’s wedding planner asked their astonished parents to join them inside the house. “At this point, Jordy and I were in separate rooms since I didn’t want him to see me right before the main event,” says Olga. “My mom couldn’t believe it was happening—there were a lot of tears and disbelief. I just hugged her because I was so grateful to her for raising me, and I was so excited for her to walk me down the aisle.
The newlyweds were then peppered with questions from family and friends, who were all shocked by what had just transpired. “They all wanted to know how we pulled this off!” exclaims Olga. “It was a lot of fun seeing their faces and how happy and excited everyone was.”
