Ferris Bueller’s Day Offwas something special: five high school kids from differing walks of life—the jock with a demanding dad, the nerd with a demanding dad, the burnout with a indifferent dad, the weirdo in a headband, and the princess whose party trick is to apply lipstick upside down—joining together to shatter society’s expectations of them. And better yet: to shatter the glass library, thanks to a classic hotbox situation. I could re-watch it right now.
. And while I admit to being a bit of a sentimental mush when it comes to movies , this sweet little movie had me teary remembering just how bewildering it can be to find your way in the world as a young adult.
