Windows at the Turkish Consulate were smashed early Monday morning, in vandalism that coincides with the Turkish elections.
One man apparently smashed multiple windows at the building in the United Nations Plaza at 1st Avenue and East 46th Street on the East Side of Manhattan.
"We were shocked, we didn't understand at first what was happening. Obviously it's very concerning, I don't know if it's like a hate crime, I don't know if it's targeted, and I don't know why anyone would do that," said Sibel Szüer Zorlu, a voter.ALSO READ |
