The announcement of the year-round destination came the same day the company took the wraps off a kids-oriented theme park in Frisco.

At 110,000 square feet, it will be the anchor tenant in a 20-acre expansion of Area15, an entertainment district that opened in Las Vegas in 2020. The location, near the city’s famous Strip, already includes themed restaurants and entertainment attractions such as Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, an immersive art experience.
“Horror is not just for Halloween anymore at Universal,” Mark Woodbury, chairman and CEO of the company’s resorts unit, said in an interview with Bloomberg. Universal's 110,000-square-foot horror-themed attraction will anchor a 20-acre expansion of Las Vegas' AREA15 entertainment district.
