A University of Maryland shuttle bus crashed into a light pole in College Park, Maryland, sending 30 passengers to a local hospital with minor injuries and shutting down traffic.
The bus was carrying 56 people Wednesday morning on Baltimore Avenue southbound when it crashed near the off-ramp to University Boulevard, according to the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
Fire officials in an updated post mentioned the 30 people who were transported locally for minor injuries, noting “26 patient refusals.” As of 11:13 a.m., all lanes on Baltimore Avenue were still closed to vehicle traffic, the University of Maryland Police
