The investigation began shortly after 8:30 p.m. when David was found deceased in a northbound lane of traffic.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle involved continued northbound after striking the woman as she crossed east on Redwood Road. As of Monday, no arrests had been made. Detectives are urging anyone with information, including details about the driver, to come forward. Officials said this incident marked the 17th traffic-related fatality in Salt Lake City for the year 2023.
