Will Jacen later join Luke Skywalker's temple?
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Ahsoka brought back Jacen Syndulla and officially confirmed he was Force-sensitive in Star Wars, setting up a future that could involve Luke Skywalker. The son of Star Wars: Rebels' pilot Hera Syndulla and the surviving Jedi Kanan Jarrus, Jacen first appeared in the epilogue of Rebels that was adapted into earlier episodes of Ahsoka, alongside Hera in her ship, the Ghost.
Jacen's mother stuck around the Rebellion after the events of Rebels. Ahsoka's Hera Syndulla became one of the best Rebel pilots, and Jacen was born during the time period between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. He was raised in the Rebellion, while his mother was valiantly fighting the Empire. But Hera never forgot about him, as mentioned in the novel Victory's Price.
Ahsoka Episode 4 Set Up Jacen Syndulla As Force-Sensitive Arriving at Seatos with his mother, Jacen witnesses Morgan Elsbeth and her forces depart into hyperspace aboard the Eye of Sion. While being caught in the hyperspace jump, several of their accompanying X-Wings are destroyed. In the aftermath of this jump and destruction, Jacen cautiously says to his mother, "Mom... I-I've got a bad feeling...
Similarly to The Rise of Skywalker, the use of the phrase "feeling" seems to be closely associated with the Force, as it was for Finn in that film. The Force is an emotional thing, and its users have a distinct aptitude for sensing emotions. Jacen knows what's going on, and he understands the gravity of the situation and can feel it through the Force. He can probably also sense the deaths of the surrounding pilots, and feels that, too.
If he does actually go to train with Luke Skywalker, however, a dark fate by Kylo Ren might lie in Jacen's future. Nonetheless, Jacen's Force sensitivity is a fascinating prospect, and it will be interesting to see how the character develops over the course of Ahsoka and the New Republic Era. If he is able to grow and control his abilities, he could be a strong asset in Hera and Ahsoka's search for Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn.
